With sunny days approaching and we are happy to finally share good news from Paris. According to the latest French government announcements, May 19 will mark the reopening of museums, monuments, cinemas, theaters and concert halls in France. Art, culture and fashion will be in the spotlight with major arrivals in Paris such as the exhibition of the Pinault Collection at the Bourse du Commerce, the reopening of the Samaritaine and its hotel Le Cheval Blanc or the Hôtel de la Marine but also the installation of the caterer No More Penguins in the garden of the Parais Galliera for THE ephemeral terrace of this summer.
To begin with, it is in the heart of Les Halles, at the Bourse du Commerce, that one of the most anticipated openings of 2021 will take place: the exhibition of François Pinault’s art collection. This businessman and great art lover wishes to establish a space with an educational and pedagogical vocation. The opening of this new art foundation is finally imminent. As is the return of the famous Parisian institution: the Samaritaine, so long awaited since its closure to the public in 2005.
Initially scheduled for April of last year, its return is finally planned for this May. We will soon be able to rediscover this architectural jewel of the rue Rivoli as well as its 5 star hotel, the Cheval Blanc. On the banks of the Pont Neuf, nearly 70,000 square meters of space dedicated for shopping and gastronomy.
Another French heritage treasure, the Hôtel de la Marine, located at Place de la Concorde, will also re-open doors to the public after a long period of renovation. Adjacent to the Hôtel de Crillon reopened in 2017, the building’s courtyard and galleries will be freely accessible to the general public. With different options of paying tours, live an experience in total immersion. Beyond its cultural aspect, 3 restaurants will open at a later date in 2022.
And not to be missed at Palais Galliera, the fashion museum of Paris, you will find a pop-up terrace organized by No More Penguins. This exclusive Parisian catering company, close collaborateurs of MR Agency, will take over the garden of the Palais Galliera for their new outdoor restaurant: Les Petites Mains.
