While summer heats up in Paris, it is high time to browse the cultural streets of the French capital, filled with exhibitions, more artistic than ever. Paris has historically been a world renowed fine arts epicentre thanks to its artistic institutions and history and continues to be thanks to exhibitions that mix popular, classic, elitist, unusual and street art. Specially concentrated in the Marais and in the VIIIth, Paris offers a plethora of cultural options daily.
This June and July, MR Agency invites you to discover 3 exhibitions in Le Marais, one of the oldest districts of the capital, “Vieux Paris”, which still has a young and dynamic soul that seduces tourists and Parisens alike.
Paving the way of the Modern Art movement, “Paris Painting Plus” will be taking over Galerie MR 14 from June 7 to 16 where 17 artists will present their work. Their works reaffirm the idea of a Paris that embodies the city of youth and the freedom of expression through its multicultural inclusion. The goal of “Paris Peinture Plus” is to show the importance of art for the parisian region, to popularize contemporary art with the general public, and also to promote young talents of the Parisian art scene. (Artists include : Wernher BOUWENS, Mario PICARDO, Edouard WOLTON, Sylvain AZAM, Baptiste CACCIA, Côme CLERINO, Idir DAVAINE, Julien DES MONTIERS, Eric DIZAMBOURG, Dominique GAUTHIER, Louis GRANET, Antwan HORFEE, Regine KOLLE, Maude MARIS, Aurore PALLET, Lise STOUFFLET et Taline ZABOUNIAN )
It is at 80 Rue de Turenne that MR Agency is proud to receive “Works on paper // William WRIGHT” presented by the Ariane C-Y Gallery from 4 to 10 July. One year after Studio Pictures, the Ariane C-Y gallery is dedicating a new exhibition to William Wright. The British artist presents a series of graphic works: drawings and engravings. The life of the studio remains the central theme and is enriched with travel, including Paris (Notre-Dame, Quai Saint-Michel) and reference to the history of art (Monet and his friends, Boisgeloup).
The MR80 Gallery also hosts “Round Trip / NYC-Paris / Carry on Combined” from July 11th to 18th. Proposed by Allison Blumenthal and Emily Noelle Lambert, artists themselves, we understand that local artistic communities play a vital role on the contemporary art scene. The link between New York and Paris is highlighted through technical concepts to put forward the idea of the portability of art.
During the year, the MR Agency works with artists and curators to organise Paris based art exhibitions and design events. Are you looking for a gallery to make your art exhibition? Contact Melissa Regan Agency to know our availabilities and see how we can assist you.
