As the season changes and the leaves start to fall in Paris, modern art is under the spotlight. With the world renowned modern art fair FIAC taking place at the Grand Palais and six other fairs with various OFFs to explore, this month of October is the perfect time for artistic immersion.
Since 1994, the International Contemporary Art Fair (FIAC- Foire Internationale d’Art Contemporain) takes place in the heart of Paris is the ideal rendez-vous to discover French and international works of art.
Not further than 3 subway stations from the Grand Palais and the FIAC, The P/CAS#18 – Paris Contemporary Art Show by YIA Art Fair – makes its comeback for a new edition at the Rivoli Building. During 4 days, a selection of 35 renowned French and International art galleries will present works of more than 200 artists, both emergents and established.
During this month of exceptional art events in the French capital, MR Agency, is honoured to host 4 exhibitions officially among the Fiac OFF Events all incorporating a theme of heritage.
The artist couple Pauline Eecen and Constantin Macris present at the MR14 gallery from October 12th to 20th . Through a chronological timeline composed of 50 paintings, sketches and sculptures, the exhibition will display amazing creativity born from the union between a Dutch sculptor and a Greek painter.
Represented by the 4th generation of Henri Matisse descendants, the Matisse foundation offers a tridimensional interpretation of the artist’s universe by celebrating forms and colors in a private apartment located in the 8th district of Paris. His family wishes to honour, transmit and share boldness and values of this worldwide loved artistic icon.
From October 14th to 21st, on the occasion of 150th anniversary of Henri Matisse, 3 international artists are invited to imagine an unprecedented and limited collection: Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Jaime Hayon and Alessandro Mendini.
A member of the American Club of Paris, Christine Argillet, daughter of Salvador Dali’s editor and owner of the Argillet Collection is pleased to present ; drawings, sculpture, original engravings, and Salvador Dali’s Aubusson tapestries at a private exhibition “A Dali Autumn in Paris. Parisian Adventure in the Footsteps of Salvador Dalí” in one of the most recently acquired locations by MR Agency.
