Maison&Objet: congress of professional artists and designers that can’t be missed

The bi-annual meeting of Maison & Objet taking place at the Parc of Exposition Villepin in Paris has just came to a close. A fundamentally multi-sector and cross-industry event, MAISON&OBJET Paris provides a snapshot of the market twice a year in Paris.

MAISON&OBJET Paris is highly followed by French and international buyers for novelty shops, concept stores, department stores and online shops. In pursuit of furniture, accessories, ornaments and all sorts of decorative objects, these visitors organise their visit by product typology.

It is the occasion for editors and designers to convert their stands into a real « Show-Room » both at the Parc of Exposition in Paris as well as in unique locations such as galeries and appartements. This event reunites designers from 64 different countries around the world.

During this event, brands such as Alma de Luce or Zaha Hadid Design are mixing art and design. Although there is a high concentration in Italian design, Danish design kept a focal point with Cecilie Manz who won the prize for designer of the year.

Worth noting are the new products from Ligne Roset, « Débourgeoisée » table console with long and thin legs designed by Desjeux Delaye. The trade show of M&O will be in September 2018 at the same time as Paris Design Week.

During Paris Design Week in 2017 MR agency presented a 12 piece collection « Lighting » designed by Desjeux Delaye,  at the Galerie MR14. This collection will be on sales at Bon Marché starting in February 2018.

During the year, the MR Agency has organized a lot of design events in Melissa Regan Agency’s galleries and notably during the Paris Design Week.
