Twice a year Paris is transformed into the capital for design and furnishing by hosting the « Maison et Objet » trade fair, a Parisian and worldwide reference. This year edition of January 2020 was based on the theme « (Re) Generation ». A theme focuses the future with a view to understand the desires, expectations and consumption behaviors of Generation Y and Z who are shaking up the codes of consumption in homes and in the art of living.

The most recognized designers of the moment exposed their creations there. Thematic exhibitions and conferences took place throughout the week. Melissa Regan, founder of MR agency had the honor to be invited as a speaker with the Swedish designer Siri Skillgate who works among others with the NASA and IKEA. They jointly answered the question : « How Space-age can influence our lives ? »

Siri Skillgate presented her new creation in collaboration with NASA: a fabric to cover containers that is recyclable and soundproof for space capsules.

«Moon-landing», the latest summer exhibition by the MR Agency in its MR80 created an immersive journey through various installations, and also a collection of historical advertisements, musics, paper and video displays, and photos (see other press articles about our agency).
Fifty years ago, the Space Age influenced the design of the furniture and the everyday objects and will continu to do it in the future.
MR Agency is historically linked to the world of art and design. Every year, the agency is involved in various projects in Paris Design Week, a cultural event of reference that sets the bar high within the worldwide design weeks. In 2017, for example, the agency presented the DESJEUX DELAYE Lighting collection under the Melissa Regan Editions label. An intimate collection of lighting fixtures using noble but modern materials and a traditional know-how. Since then, a collection of carpets and small objects have been launched and several lines are in development.

Alongside this artist participation in the annual Parisian events, MR Agency actively participates to the organisation of these flagship weeks. Indeed, we offer possibility to the most popular designers and brands the to present their new collections in our 15 private showrooms in the heart of Paris. For example, we have had the chance to collaborate with Serge Mouille Editions or also &Traditions who have trusted us to present their creations in our unique spaces.
